Production Process – Toile 5

#Bridal

This past month and a half has been very challenging trying to meet my deadlines and handle working alone mostly in my business venture that is #dhbridaldesigns. I have, however, finished my work on toile number 5. I am now just starting out on the textile production process and I am really enjoying that and the fact that its a new year having some vision for the work too.

I have created this Greeken-style garment which is very floaty in its appearance. It is still in keeping with my traditional focus and ideals; It has a contemporary, classic yet conservative design. I intend to have much effective and beautiful textiles to be applied also.

The sweetheart neckline is very nice, the off the shoulder sleeves will have boning to add structure and support to the look, the empire line will be more prominent with the detail of silver piping around the almond shaped details, the pleated and flared bottom skirt part will be shaped at the front and have an under layer to it, the materials comprise of silk and a chiffon texture will be applied to the front skirt layer. Pearled -shaped buttons should be a feature at the back.

The main focus of this work and blog today is to show my work process and to also be forward focused in my writing. I hope to encourage others, help them and inform people too.

I have had a lot to learn about about the life of an entrepreneur especially at the beginning of their journeys in business, (I started in September) I have learnt routine, deadlines, health management are all key and very real things.
