The Izzy dress is ready for customer try-ons, is steamed, hanging up and looking lush. This dress has been sewed up over some time; step by step and hand stitched in places too. I am really happy with the outcome and I think the fit and feel to it will make a happy bride somewhere. The inspiration for this dress was taken from a Paris cathedral and its stained glass windows, the dress also references historic design such as the 1920’s silhouette and is meant to frame the ladies figure nicely for that big day.
It features are princess half sleeves which are pleated at the sides for a rouged and slightly puffed-up look, stained glass inspired front bodice with satin piping application for a style detail, with fringing at the waist, the dress is made from silk de chine, with a circular bias cut skirt portion, a vintage lace-like trim at the hemline, buttoned, shaped back bodice, all in natural silk and feels so beautiful to touch and wear.
The dress is in keeping with the brand ethos being made in the UK, made with natural silks, and being an ethically friendly company in its business practices. The style of all my dresses are contemporary, classic, edgy, feminine and elegant. I like to focus on the way the garment would make one feel and look, being careful in how they are designed and using a careful selection of fabrics to achieve this.
I have a collection of dresses available soon for try-ons, made in average women’s sizes, if you find something you like but it doesn’t fit, I have an onsite tailoring service for baseline adjustments and more complicated fittings need to be made – I can make referrals.
